In ministry together

The Rocky Mountain Synod links 175 congregations together in mission and outreach. The relationships we have in ministry together are a sign of our common mission together.

An intentional focus on children's, youth, and household ministry is now guided by a new assistant to the bishop, Linda Staats.

Communication

Called to serve

As Lutheran Christians we believe that all of us are called into Christian vocation and ministry through our baptism. All the baptized are gifted and called to serve in the church and in the world. How we respond and live out that calling is expressed in a great variety of ways.  Learn more.

Annual Discernment Retreat

Contact the synod office to be placed on a list for the annual Discernment Retreat which is typically held in April.

To assist you with discernment, you are invited to contact Ron Roschke for a telephone conversation or appointment.

Our faith in action

Every day, in countless ways, members of the Rocky Mountain Synod are making the world a better place. In far reaches of the globe, and right here in our neighborhood, you’ll see that Lutherans aren’t folks who simply talk about their beliefs. We put them into action.

Calling a leader

The call process is the way synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America engage their congregations, church-related organizations and rostered leaders in a time of thoughtful assessment and spiritual discernment of the way God may be drawing each toward the other for mutual ministry.
