The Rocky Mountain Synod links 175 congregations together in mission and outreach. The relationships we have in ministry together are a sign of our common mission together.

An intentional focus on children's, youth, and household ministry is now guided by a new assistant to the bishop, Linda Staats.

In addition to the synod website, the congregations of the Rocky Mountain Synod stay connected through a weekly email newsletter, a semi-monthly reprodicible printed newsletter called "Landscape," and a quarterly synod supplement to The Lutheran Magazine. Read synod publications.

Called to serve

As Lutheran Christians we believe that all of us are called into Christian vocation and ministry through our baptism. All the baptized are gifted and called to serve in the church and in the world. How we respond and live out that calling is expressed in a great variety of ways.  Learn more.

Annual Discernment Retreat

Mission Partners
The Mission Partners program invites you to support and encourage these new ministries with your prayers, your presence, and your presents.

The Mission Endowment Fund
The Mission Endowment Fund will make it possible for new congregations in the Rocky MountainS ynod to receive financial support in the important years following organization. The Fund will also provide short-term financial support for existing congregations that are initiating new outreach ministries. How to give.
