Registration Day Celebration Resources
We know that faith is formed (in children and youth) by the power of the Holy Spirit working through personal, trusted relationships with affirming, available and authentic adults. (Triple-A Adults © Vibrant Faith Ministries). Those relationships can be celebrated on Registration Day by including an acknowledgement of the occasion in worship.
We have provided sermon notes to help your pastor blend the texts for Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, with the text around which the Youth Gathering is being built, Ephesians 2: 4–20, which is also the second reading for the final Sunday of the Gathering, July 22, 2012. We have also provided a prayer to be used during worship on October 9. If your congregation is very ambitious, you may want to plan a party that features foods from New Orleans like gumbo or jambalaya. Get more info.

 Hi! I'm Linda Staats. I have the privilege of serving you as Assistant to the Bishop for Youth & Household Ministry. I am also the RMS's Gathering Coach, which means I get to talk to you about equipping ALL adults in your congregation for ministry with youth, 24-7, not just in preparation for the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering.

And I am Deaconess Kristen Baltrum. I am serving as  the Director of Youth and Household Ministry in Longmont, and also as the RMS Gathering Coordinator. This means I can help you out will all you need to know about the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering themes, logistics, registration, and any other questions you might have.
