Nominees complete and submit the nomation form themselves since it involves submitting personal information and paragraphs.

The Vision, Passion, Action initiative has resulted in proposed constitutional changes to reshape synod boards, committees, and task forces. Nominations are needed for the following positions. Elections take place at the Synod Assembly, May 27-29, 2010.

Synod Council
This is the governing body for the Synod between Synod Assemblies. In addition to financial and legal business, it helps establish priorities for the synod and oversees progress on those priorities.

NOMINATIONS SUMMARY: lay from all conferences are elibigle due to the at-large positions. Clergy are eligible from the North Colorado Conference. Nominations of youth and young adults are encouraged.

Ministry Teams

NOMINATIONS SUMMARY: lay and clergy from all conferences are elibigle due to the at-large positions. Nominations of youth and young adults are encouraged.

Campus Ministry Committee
Oversees the ministries at colleges and universities in the Rocky Mountain Synod.

Congregation & Leadership Health
This new ministry team proposes and oversees the ways in which our synod promotes wellness and addresses conflict. Both congregations and leaders (lay and rostered) are the focus of encouraging health and wellness.

Congregational Ministries Board
Works with Synod Council to identify major needs and areas of concern in all areas of congregational life and mission.

Mission Outreach Board
Oversees the development of new congregations and the renewal of existing congregations within the Rocky Mountain Synod.

Global Missions Board
Oversees our Companion Synods Program, arranges for immersion experiences, and provides education surrounding issues of global justice.

Committee on Discipline
Provides part of the due process required when a party is accused of something for which they can be disciplined. This may include congregations, rostered leaders or members of congregations.

Consultation Committee
When there is disagreement among factions within a congregation on a substantive issue that cannot be resolved by the parties, members of a congregation shall have access to the synodical bishop for consultation after informing the chair of the Congregation Council of their intent. If the consultation fails to resolve the issue(s), the Consultation Committee of this synod shall consider the matter.
