Constitution Revision Proposal
summary of proposed constitutional changes

draft document of constitutional changes

The proposal was approved by Synod Council and is now presented to you for discussion and consideration at our next Synod Assembly in Denver, May 27-29, 2010. Synod Council recommends these constitutional changes in response to Vision, Passion Action, the ongoing strategic planning process.

The primary effect of the changes will be to align our organizational structure with our mission, to modify our elections process so Mission Teams are strengthened, and to add flexibility so that we can make adjustments to the structure as needed.

Above is a link to download the proposed changes along with the proposed text. The summary describes the elections changes as well as the committees/ boards that are recommended to be added or removed from the constitution. The constitutional language includes all the changes and additions as they would read if the changes are approved. It does not show everything as it compares to the current constitution.
