Outdoor Ministry

The Rocky Mountain Synod supports and partners with three outdoor ministries across the synod for ministry alongside youth, young adults, and families.

Our camps are a part of Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM),an association of outdoor ministry organizations, professionals, board members, businesses, and students connected to Lutheran camping, conferences, and retreats.

Sky Ranch Lutheran Camp

Sky Ranch is located 55 miles west of Fort Collins, CO, just north of Rocky Mountain National Park. They have been "Facilitating an Encounter with Christ on the Mountaintops" since 1963.

Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp 

Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp is an ELCA Summer Christian Camp and Year-Round Retreat Center located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Southern Colorado.  Rainbow Trail is a place where you can come and be exactly who God intended you to be. You will find great food, a warm and cozy atmosphere, and excellent hospitality all awaiting you at Rainbow Trail.

Messiah Mountain Retreat Center

Messiah Mountain Retreat Center is located in the Indian Hills, Colorado, on 27 acres of forested land. Our altitude is about 6,800 feet and we are 25 miles from downtown Denver. A great place to watch for wildlife, including deer, elk and bears! The Mountain's mission is to provide a comfortable and hospitable facility for empowering ministry groups, building community and enriching spiritual growth.
