The position includes playing for weekly services, seasonal liturgies, choir rehearsals, and occasional weddings and funerals (honorarium provided). (approx. 10 hours/week) 

Applicants should have experience as an organist/accompanist, a strong understanding of Lutheran liturgical worship, and be able to support ELCA theology. Attendance at worship planning and staff meetings is expected.

Faith Community Nurse (Parish Nurse)

Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver has an opening for an experienced registered nurse to fill a 20-30 hour per week Faith Community Nurse position ($40/hr). This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor and works closely with the pastoral and program staff in shared ministry. The Faith Community Nurse responds to health and wellness concerns of parishioners through visits in homes and health care facilities to evaluate needs, provide support, facilitate the integration of faith and healing, and make
referrals as needed. This nurse also coordinates health education programs, support groups, and other health-related activities in the congregation. The Faith Community Nurse collaborates with our Health Ministry and coordinates volunteers to assist in carrying out other health ministry initiatives. Minimum qualifications include a RN license, baccalaureate degree in nursing (Master’s preferred) and five years of professional experience. Educational preparation, experience in parish nursing and supervisory experience are highly desirable.
