The SAS Refresher is a 6 session once-a-month course designed for congregations that have been through Stewardship for All Seasons (SAS) previously. The Refresher is for those who wish to continue the journey of generosity culture-building.  It is for those who want to continue receiving sage advice from our GSB Fundraising consultants.  It is for those who have new leadership on your council and/or new members on your stewardship team. It is for those who appreciate an uplift as we navigate the pandemic aftermath. As our 3E logo says: It's for YOU!

3E recognizes that many congregations may need a refresher on the SAS principles and help bringing new stewardship leadership into the SAS model. The monthly online sessions begin in August and end in January. GSB consultants present monthly sessions and highlight the fall appeal, reintroduce helpful important documents, videos and provide support once again for your stewardship teams.

One hour Saturday Session Dates for 2021:

  • August 7: Spirituality of Fundraising and Planning Your Fall Appeal
  • September 18: Strategic Planning
  • October 23: Volunteerism
  • November 20: End of Year Giving
  • December 11: Gratitude
  • January 8: Governance

3E is providing the SAS Refresher course at no cost to all congregations that have previously participated in SAS - any cohort, any year.  If you have questions or want to join the 2021 SAS Refresher, please contact Deb Elstad, 3E Associate Director of Stewardship at

Thank you so much Deb, Evan and Paul for this gathering.  I must tell you that these appear to come around and give me so much energy just when I think:  ... I do not know what I am doing. Intents are down (although more giving is present). Etc. Etc. and then we do this and in less than one hour my spirit is recharged. God’s spirit gives me clarity. And I am reminded that God is God and I am not ... and today is a new day with new ministry opportunities. ~ Pr. Nicole Ferry, Bethlehem Lutheran, Los Alamos, NM

When we approach fundraising in a spirit of gratitude, we do so knowing that God has already given us what we most need for life in abundance.
