March in the Parade

  • Bishop Jim Gonia and Bishop Kym Lucas encourage all area Episcopalians, Lutherans, and Methodists to march in the Parade on Sunday, June 23
  • Be prepared to spend about 2 hours total for the march and be prepared to walk approximately 2 miles.
  • Everyone who signs up to march will be notified where to meet once we have our parade assignment. Please note: we will receive our parade assignment a few days before the parade. Please plan on meeting at the assigned location by 9:00am to join in worship before we begin marching.
  • Please coordinate with other members of your church or group to have a pole banner, matching shirts, or signs to hold. Be creative and have fun!
  • Per PrideFest regulations, only service animals are allowed in the parade.

What You Need to Know on the Day You Are Volunteering

  • You can bring a factory sealed beverage bottle (no alcohol) with you or bring an empty bottle that you can fill up at water fountains inside the park.
  • There is a food court with food vendors at the west end of the festival on Bannock Street.
  • Wear a colorful shirt or fun outfit!
  • Bring information about your congregation, ministry, or welcome statement – share your ministry!
  • Clergy are encouraged to wear a clerical collar.
  • Be prepared to share: the most important thing is to be ready to represent your congregation, ministry, and the Rocky Mountain Synod as Christ centered communities where everyone is welcome. Consider your story and why it is important for our congregations, ministries, and synod to be welcoming places and be prepared to share!
